Long-Term Goals

The San Miguel School Board, in collaboration with parents and parishioners, has established 9 goals for the next four years. It is our belief, that with hard work and dedication to our school, we will make these goals a reality in an effort to better serve the families and students in the Watts community. The nine goals are:

I. Catholic Identity
San Miguel School will promote a Christian atmosphere within the school community.

II. Ownership, Governance, and Administration
San Miguel School shall maintain and promote a system of governance that encourages active involvement and communication among parents/PTO, parish, School Board, staff, students, and community.

III. Enrollment
San Miguel School will design, implement, and fund a pro-active marketing designed to increase enrollment.

IV. Curriculum
San Miguel School will maintain its excellent curriculum and expand technology, fine arts, and physical education.

V. Staffing
San Miguel School will continue to hire and make every effort to retain dedicated, qualified and certified faculty and staff.

VI. Facilities
San Miguel School will establish, implement and fund a plan for capital improvements, repair and deferred maintenance of the existing school buildings.

VII. School in the Community
San Miguel School will improve communications with the parents, alumni, parishioners, and benefactors.

VIII. Finance
San Miguel School will develop and implement procedures and policies to ensure the long-term financial security of the school while continuing to provide a high quality and affordable Catholic education to the children in our parish and surrounding communities.

IX. Development
San Miguel School will design, communicate and implement a comprehensive Development Program for insuring the financial stability of the school.
